“È un piacere condividere con voi la nostra cultura della carrozza e contribuire con un granello di sabbia a tutto ciò che riguarda la storia degli attacchi e il restauro di questi. Come ben sappiamo, le carrozze hanno fatto parte del nostro passato ma fanno parte anche del nostro presente, grazie alla storia insita in loro e alla grande predilezione che abbiamo per loro. Tutti dobbiamo lottare per preservare questo patrimonio culturale, queste opere d’arte che ci sono state lasciate dagli antenati. E il nostro dovere è quello di preservare con sensibilità, armonia e delicatezza ogni dettaglio di queste meraviglie, dettagli che hanno dietro una leggenda, e per questo motivo dobbiamo fare tutto il possibile in modo che questa tradizione e eredità perdurino nel tempo.”
Così don Francisco Dorantes, leader indiscusso della DHD Dorantes, guarnicionerìa di Lebrija, Siviglia, ha voluto portare il proprio augurio al neonato sito “Gruppo Europeo di restauro delle carrozze antiche”, sito nel quale si legge la firma dei migliori restauratori di beni culturali europei, tra i quali le carrozze antiche, nato l’anno scorso sotto l’egida del Gruppo Italiano Attacchi (www.restaurocarrozzeantiche.com).
“Il restauro …..momento metodologico del riconoscimento dell'opera d'arte, nella sua consistenza fisica e nella sua duplice polarità estetica e storica, in vista della sua trasmissione al futuro”.
Il pensiero di Cesare Brandi, primo Direttore dell’Istituto Centrale per il Restauro, scuola di alta specializzazione per restauratori, attualmente vigilato dal Ministero per i beni e le attività culturali e per il turismo, è completamente espresso dalle attività di casa Dorantes che vanta fra le sue opere anche il restauro di carrozze della Casa Reale di Spagna.
Casa Dorantes nasce nel 1994 al centro di Lebrija, Siviglia, immersa nel mondo del cavallo e delle sue sensazioni. Dopo 25 anni di attività, Casa Dorantes ha creato un nuovo tipo di generazione di artigiani che hanno saputo infondere la passione a loro trasmessa nell’arte del finimento e selleria, unendo tradizione e innovazione per la migliore armonia tra uomo e cavallo.
Casa Dorantes si ispira ad un altro fondamentale principio: documentare tutto ciò che viene fatto.
Pertanto ha avviato un’attività di riorganizzazione dell’archivio che permetta il recupero dei diversi passi che testimonino tutti i diversi ambiti del lavoro che hanno portato alla firma attuale che pone in equilibrio bellezza, tecnica, protezione dell’ambiente ed economia sostenibile.
Ciò ha comportato il riconoscimento di fornitore ufficiale della Casa Reale Spagnola e il conseguimento del Premio Nazionale per l’Artigianato 2016.
Dhd Dorantes, tuttavia, si distingue per il restauro delle carrozze antiche.
Partendo sempre dai principi di stabilità, risanamento e protezione, che vengono applicati fin dal primo momento, al fine di ritardare qualsiasi deterioramento con il ridurre le cause che lo hanno provocato.
Ciò sia per la carrozza, che per i finimenti, che per gli accessori in cuoio : ciascun intervento si basa sul rispetto continuo delle caratteristiche fisiche, estetiche e storiche.

“Es un placer compartir con ustedes nuestra cultura de carruajes y aportar un granito de arena a todo lo relacionado con la historia de los atentados y la restauración de estos. Como todos sabemos, los carruajes han sido parte de nuestro pasado pero también son parte de nuestro presente, gracias a la historia que les es inherente y la gran predilección que tenemos por ellos. Todos tenemos que luchar por preservar este patrimonio cultural, estas obras de arte que nos dejaron nuestros antepasados. Y nuestro deber es preservar con sensibilidad, armonía y delicadeza cada detalle de estas maravillas, detalles que tienen una leyenda a sus espaldas, y por ello debemos hacer todo lo posible para que esta tradición y herencia perdure en el tiempo ”.
Así Don Francisco Dorantes, líder indiscutible de DHD Dorantes, guarnicionerìa de Lebrija, Sevilla, quiso llevar sus deseos al nuevo sitio "Grupo europeo para la restauración de carruajes antiguos", sitio donde se puede leer la firma de los mejores restauradores de Europa. patrimonio cultural, incluidos los carruajes antiguos, nacidos el año pasado bajo los auspicios del Gruppo Italiano Attacchi(www.restaurocarrozzeantiche.com).
"La restauración ..... momento metodológico del reconocimiento de la obra de arte, en su consistencia física y en su doble polaridad estética e histórica, en vista de su transmisión al futuro".
El pensamiento de Cesare Brandi, primer Director del Instituto Central de Restauración, escuela de alta especialización para restauradores, actualmente supervisada por el Ministerio de Patrimonio y Actividades Culturales y de Turismo de Italia, se expresa plenamente en las actividades de la casa Dorantes que cuenta entre sus obras también la restauración de carruajes de la Casa Real de España.
Casa Dorantes nace en 1994 en el centro de Lebrija, Sevilla, inmersa en el mundo del caballo y sus sensaciones. Tras 25 años de actividad, Casa Dorantes ha creado un nuevo tipo de generación de artesanos que han sabido inculcar la pasión que les ha transmitido el arte de la guarnicionería y la talabartería, conjugando tradición e innovación para la mejor armonía entre hombre y caballo.
Casa Dorantes se inspira en otro principio fundamental: documentar todo lo que se hace.
Por ello, se ha puesto en marcha una actividad de reordenación de archivos que permite recuperar los distintos pasos que dan testimonio de todas las distintas áreas de trabajo que dieron lugar a la firma actual que equilibra belleza, técnica, protección del medio ambiente y economía sostenible.
Esto supuso el reconocimiento del proveedor oficial de la Casa Real de España y la consecución del Premio Nacional de Artesanía 2016.
Dhd Dorantes, sin embargo, destaca por la restauración de carruajes antiguos.
Partiendo siempre de los principios de estabilidad, rehabilitación y protección, que se aplican desde el primer momento, con el fin de retrasar cualquier deterioro reduciendo las causas que lo ocasionaron.
Esto es cierto tanto para el carruaje, para los arneses, como para los accesorios de cuero: cada intervención se basa en el respeto continuo de las características físicas, estéticas e históricas.
Una actividad distingue la restauración de Dorantes: documentación continua, asidua, completa con cualquier intervención que se realice en la pieza, desde el diagnóstico hasta el acabado.
Esto será útil no solo para la historia del carruaje y sus restauraciones sino también para la asistencia técnica, la actividad de valuaciòn, futuras intervenciones.
