La Caleche a otto molle firmata Jacduel & Clochez, fu fabbricata nel 1845. La vettura era giunto ai nostri giorni in uno stato critico di conservazione.
ASSETTO GENERALE
Per quanto riguarda la struttura, risultavano evidenti i disallineamenti delle ruote e quindi è stato necessario ripristinarle in posizione carretta. Allo stesso modo, il telaio e il resto delle parti in legno erano molto deteriorati. La cassa presentava crepe dovute all'espansione del legno che raggiungeva i 6 mm. di apertura e 150 cm. di lunghezza Il set delle parti in legno è stato restaurato con molta accuratezza. La maggior parte delle parti originali è stata preservata grazie alla sigillatura e alla riparazione delle fessure. Inoltre, ha subito un processo di disinfezione poiché era stato interessato da xilofagi e tarli.
VERNICIATURA
La verniciatura del veicolo nel suo complesso era praticamente sparita, lasciando il legno sottostante visibile in larga parte della carrozza. Dopo una valutazione complessiva, sono stati analizzati alcuni resti dello strato di vernice, dai quali è stato possibile ricostruire e recuperare sia i colori originali che le misure di filetti e le altre decorazioni.
Durante l'intervento, per rpristinare la filettatura sono state usate una foglia d'oro e del pigmento rosso. Il resto della carrozza è stato finito in blu inglese scuro.Anche gli stemmi araldici sono stati ridipinti.
TAPPEZZERIA
Trovammo la tappezzeria in una pessima situazione, presentava un deterioramento generalizzato tanto che i tessuti erano irrecuperabili. I bottoni di seta erano diventati marci, costringendoci a fabbricarli seguendo le linee guida, la forma e il colore degli originali.
Per risolvere il problema della mancanza di tessuto in parte della tappezzeria interna abbiamo proceduto a tessere una replica del tessuto stesso. Questa è stato realizzata con vecchi telai usando tecniche artigianali, che garantivano risultati ottimi e ci permettevano di essere fedeli al tessuto originale. Per questo, sulla base di ciò che era ancora rimasto, abbiamo proceduto alla nuova confezione con fili di cotone e seta uguali a quelli recuperati. Sono stati usati anche lo stesso schema di tessitura e lo stesso colore.
Le passamanerie che decoravano l'interno della cassa erano ricoperte da un sacco di sporco, presentavano strappi e alcune parti mancavano addirittura. Lo smontaggio, la pulizia e il restauro sono stati effettuati per riportarle in condizione simile a quella iniziale.
PELLAMI
Il rivestimento in pelle è stato completamente smontato per essere sottoposto a un processo di disinfezione, pulizia, ingrassaggio e restauro. Ne avevamo osservato le pessime condizioni, le fessure. Una volta rimosso tutto il rivestimento, è stato riassemblato con la pelle restaurata, recuperando l'aspetto che aveva in origine.
Le pelli degli interni, dei pannelli e gli alettini presentavano danni sostanziali: malnutrizione, incrinatura e molte perforazioni causate da xilofagi e tarli. Per risolvere questi problemi sono state applicate tecniche di disinfezione e altre tecniche artigianali per l’ingrassaggio e altri trattamenti, alla ricerca di un recupero estetico e funzionale.
ASSEMBLAGGIO
Infine, è stato ripristinato il set di metalli e accessori, eliminando residui di ruggine e vernice. È stato applicato anche un lucido per recuperare la loro luminosità.
Dopo il restauro del telaio e l'assemblaggio delle parti in legno, l’applicazione di un nuovo strato di vernice, il recupero della tappezzeria e della serie di metalli, si è proceduto al montaggio della caleche che ha ripreso in gran parte l'aspetto e forme originali.
DATO DI INTERESSE
Questa Caleche è uguale a quella prodotta da Clochez, a Parigi tra il 1831 e il 1950, che era appartenuta ai Vescovi di Tarbes e Lourdes e proveniente dalla sede episcopale di Lourdes, venne utilizzata nel 1935 dal Cardinal Pacelli futuro Papa PioXII e dichiarata nel 1999 monumento storico nazionale. di In entrambi i casi. la serpa può essere sostituita per essere attaccata a la D'Aumont.

The eight-spring Caleche signed by Jacduel & Clochez was built in 1845. The carriage was now in a critical state of conservation.
GENERAL STRUCTURE As regards the structure, the misalignments of the wheels were evident and therefore it was necessary to restore them in the cart position. Likewise, the frame and the rest of the wooden parts were badly damaged. The case had cracks due to the expansion of the wood which reached 6 mm. opening and 150 cm. in length The set of wooden parts has been restored with great care. Most of the original parts have been preserved thanks to sealing and repairing the cracks. In addition, it underwent a disinfection process as it had been affected by xylophages and woodworms.
PAINTING The paintwork of the vehicle as a whole was practically gone, leaving the underlying wood visible to a large part of the carriage. After an overall evaluation, some remains of the paint layer were analyzed, from which it was possible to reconstruct and recover both the original colors and the measurements of the fillets and other decorations. During the surgery, a gold leaf and red pigment were used to restore the thread. The rest of the carriage was finished in dark English blue, and the heraldic coats of arms were also repainted.
UPHOLSTERY We found the upholstery in a very bad situation, it showed a general deterioration so much that the fabrics were irrecoverable. The silk buttons had become rotten, forcing us to manufacture them following the guidelines, shape and color of the originals. To solve the problem of the lack of fabric in part of the internal upholstery we proceeded to weave a replica of the fabric itself. This was made with old looms using artisan techniques, which guaranteed excellent results and allowed us to be faithful to the original fabric. For this, on the basis of what was still left, we proceeded to the new packaging with cotton and silk threads identical to those recovered. The same weaving scheme and color were also used. The trimmings that decorated the inside of the case were covered with a lot of dirt, had tears and some parts were even missing. Disassembly, cleaning and restoration were carried out to bring them back to a similar condition to the initial one.
LEATHER The leather upholstery has been completely disassembled to undergo a process of disinfection, cleaning, greasing and restoration. We had observed the bad conditions, the cracks. Once all the upholstery was removed, it was reassembled with the restored leather, recovering the appearance it originally had. The skins of the interiors, of the panels and the fins showed substantial damage: malnutrition, cracking and many perforations caused by xylophages and woodworms. To solve these problems, disinfection techniques and other artisanal techniques for greasing and other treatments were applied, in search of an aesthetic and functional recovery.
ASSEMBLY Finally, the set of metals and accessories was restored, removing rust and paint residues. A polish was also applied to recover their brightness. After the restoration of the frame and the assembly of the wooden parts, the application of a new layer of varnish, the recovery of the upholstery and the series of metals, the caleche was assembled which largely resumed its appearance. and original forms.
